Walk and Roll for Brain Health

On the Saturday after Derby supporters of BIAK gather in E. P. “Tom” Sawyer Park to raise money for BIAK. There are many teams representing themselves, organizations and person who have survived brain injury.

RUN, WALK AND RUN FOR BRAIN HEALTH

The Brain Injury Alliance of Kentucky’s annual Walk & Roll for Brain Health is a highly anticipated community gathering held each year on the Saturday following the Kentucky Derby at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park. Participants of all ages and abilities come together at this inspiring event to show their support for individuals living with brain injuries.

The event features an inclusive 1-mile Walk & Roll, welcoming participants who choose to walk, use wheelchairs, strollers, or other mobility devices. Beyond encouraging physical activity, the event fosters a strong sense of community while raising awareness about brain injury prevention, recovery, and support.

Participants, spectators, and volunteers unite to celebrate the resilience and determination of those affected by brain injuries, making this event a powerful reminder of the strength of the human spirit.
